Well, I never got a promotion or developed professionally, but at least I had fun and made a lot of friends.
Cons
Expect to operate at level well above title and responsibilities. Work like there's no tomorrow. Never come close to using all vacation time. Think to self, "just work a little harder and surely you'll get promoted..." It never happens. But the benefits are good, right? Endless number of initiatives that end up nowhere. Company success based on brilliance and dedication of a very. Everyone else does a good job looking busy and making presentations on nothing. Business processes and IT infrastructure not updated in 10 years. Performance Review...? What's that? Eventually chose to leave. Only can't help but think, maybe if I'd only worked a little harder and done a little more... then I might've moved up...
