Pros

- Opportunity to grow - Educational opportunities (paid MS/MBA/PhD programs) - Incredible benefits; LTI, bonus, stock options, ESPP, full healthcare coverage, onsite support, onsite gym, etc - Forward momentum in your career if you take opportunities - Attentive management all the way up the chain; regular 1:1s with managers, skip levels, etc - Wonderful support for LGBTQ+/disabled/neurodiverse employees

Cons

- Work-life balance has shifted since WFH became priority; a bit harder to "leave" work - Internal reporting structure changes OFTEN; transparency when it does change, but makes figuring out the reporting structure difficult at times - Easy to burn out if you're not careful - Perks (discount programs) are offered one year and taken away the next; can be frustrating if trying to plan for family time - Prior to COVID, little flexibility in remote working; Cambridge HQ is hard to move to if you're in a support role (Director or below) and aren't offered relo - Raises outside of the yearly COL raise are very rare, even for outperforming employees

Pros

benefits, flexible work hours, commuter shuttles between campuses prior to covid

Cons

Almost all experienced, knowledgeable, and talented people have left in the past year leaving room for the aggressive, young, inexperienced folks who build careers based on politics and loyalties. HR goes against its own rules and promotes people in bulk without change in responsibilities and at the same time, those who do the actual work remain invisible simply because they do not belong to the strong of the day. CMO operates via fear and intimidation, forcing people to either leave or make unrealistic promises and back stabbing. The environment is toxic and demotivating, no one cares about competencies, it is all about pleasing and not challenging. Huge range for salaries within the same level, where those with terminal degrees make way less. it has become a company with legacy in MS without MS neurologists in medical today; all a theater, a puppet show.
