Miserable place to work...

Pros

Employees left from prior acquisitions are great people.

Cons

Management really sucks. They have no direction. They constantly issue overly aggressive deadlines and NEVER meet them due to lack of proper planning. They love to lay off employees in a systematic, yet consistent manner which creates a miserable work environment for its employees. It's nearly impossible to be motivated in a place like this.

Pros

You have a paycheck. Sodas are .25 and there are lights and air conditioning until its outside of the companies budget.

Cons

There is NO organization, There is a very extreme and obvious lack of talent which is expected because the company does not want to pay for people to stay They openly pay their Atlanta office 3x as much to do the same job as their Emporia and Macon office. When people leave they don't back fill jobs....that dominoes on the existing employees to take on the workload of the ones who left. Documentation is out of date. Employees laugh at the customers issues while they are on mute not really even caring about the issue at hand. Maybe 1 in 35-40 have even a CCENT Employees aren't given the time to fix the issues even if the level of caring was there. The managers don't care about anyone. They criticize their employees on the floor, you get written up for just about anything. There is no real training. The companies thrives on acquisitions but doesn't properly train existing employees on how to take on the new companies employees. If you could look at the Birch employees from a high level - its almost comparable to what the Titanic looked like once it hit the iceberg. This job is great if you love to be yelled at with just a few alloted minutes to fix it before having to pass the ticket off.... and "Call Them Back" or the call "Accidently Disconnects" All the best employees left.

Pros

Fast paced environment where you will learn a lot. If you work hard you will make a lot of money and move up very quickly.

Cons

This position is hard and to succeed you need to work hard day in and day out. Every position has its challenges and this one is no different. Keep your head down, work hard and you will see the results.
