      Pros

      May be ok for entry level position in a small town with few options. A handful of quality people on board via acquisition, probably will leave as soon as they can though.

      Cons

      Zero innovation, no organic growth only via acquisition. Penny pinching comes first. Low pay and willing to settle for B & C talent because they are cheap. Allow executives to treat subordinates horribly- openly critical of employees in front of peers using profanity and borderline physical confrontation. At least one management team member had harassment charges filed against them and are still on board.

      I am a sales executive at birch and have been working for Cbeyond until it was recently acquired by Birch.

      Pros

      The only Pros that I can think about is the quality of the remaining employees of Cbeyond that still remain working there expecting things to improve after the disastrous acquisition.

      Cons

      So many to enumerate. Not competitive pricing, project coordinators lack of professionalism and follow up with sales execs, have lost multiple deals because of no follow up with clients and the way they keep us in the dark as far as the status o our installations. I have accepted a positions at another company and I'm seeing lots of my former Cbeyond colleagues doing the same. We used to have close to 70 sales reps at one time and now as Birch we're down to less that a dozen. See the best people leaving month after month. It's a total disaster!!!

      -My co-workers. If I ever needed help, I knew I wouldn't drown. -Before layoffs, my schedule was perfect. Had an equal work/life balance -Opportunity to learn, if you made it known you wanted to learn

      Cons

      -When escalating issues to the proper departments, they would give serious pushback -Outages were often, and seeking help for mitigation seemed impossible -No room for promotion -Felt like our team was the last to know or find out any important information
