Pros

Great location, commute friendly. Perks are awesome. 100% free benefits: HMO & PPO, Medical, Dental, 401k, Short/Long term disability, Life Insurance, CalTrain Pass, Gym Membership, Ping Pong...your start-up perks on steroids. After a rocky 2014, Bitcasa finally has everything in the right direction. Investors that continue to back the company and partnerships that are finally paying off for Bitcasa. The Management team is trying their hardest to bring the fun back to the company and do right by it's customers and are making the right decisions to move Bitcasa forward into a positive direction. They are also doing the right things to keep all the talented people there and making changes where changes are needed. The negative energy that was there in 2014 is no longer there and the people who believe in Bitcasa and want it to succeed are making it happen.

Cons

Lots of the original members have left, but that is to be expected as the company grows. Management and team are adjusting to the new landscape and are hoping to finally build off of some positives instead of digging out of a hole that the previous leadership put them in.

Pros

Ping pong. Benefits. The occasional beer run. A select group of fun hard working individuals.

Cons

CEO and upper management are running this company into then ground. They do not care about the users or employees. Upper management is extremely unqualified, unprofessional, and lack any sense of ownership and responsibility. They are and will be the first to throw anyone under the bus. Unqualified and unprofessional "HR / G&A" team who only care about pleasing the CEO and the bottom line. Business model is a joke and any financial information provided, publicly or externally, is a lie. Culture and morale are plummeting. Those who originally cared and believed in Bitcasa, pre CEO Taptich and upper management, are gone or are looking to leave. Depressing office and location. Workload fluctuates based on poor execution of product planning and implementation. No clear direction or goals.

Pros

- Talented group of people that have a genuine interest in helping customers and each other. - Very good benefits for a relatively small startup.

Cons

- Executive management make poor decisions without thought or care for its customers or employees. - Very poor job hiring senior management. Often promoting out of necessity and not based on merit. - Lack of a clear vision or strategy. "Leadership" team lack visionary/strategic capacity. - The once startup culture left the day "Tap" became CEO. - Often feels like a sweatshop; jumping from one large push to another with very little downtime or retrospective. - Feels like a dictatorship, with everyone trying to please Tap.
