Pros

The people are what keep you there, we have amazing people on our teams, who work together well and like each other. The people at the bottom keep BB afloat.

Cons

Bad pay, NO RAISES, or bonuses, big lay-offs twice a year. The people that have all the say, DONT CARE OR LIKE their employees. They make stupid changes that negatively affect us, and end up costing the company money. They view suggestions as complaints. Give you a painful smile in your face, shake your hand, then go wash you off.

Pros

Good integrator in the Federal market

Cons

Very difficult work environment. Beg to get anything done. Too many silos and decision makers. It takes at least 15 people to get anything done.

Double digit sales growth by 2020??

Pros

Brand recognition in the marketplace Exposure to a wide array of IT technologies FREE high school cafeteria style lunches Very expensive ergonomic desk chairs

Cons

No long-term/strategic vision to promote organic sales growth by senior management Employee morale at an all time low thanks to no pay raises or a formal performance incentive plan Compensation plan changed four times in less than 12 months Inaccurate data reporting leads to skewed reporting practices which ultimately effects ones wallet Beware of the quarterly job cuts for the typical below plan performance standards

I apologize that you did not have a good work experience with Black Box. I agree with your all of the "Pros" you identified. In regard to the "Cons" we are focused on being a strong IT product and service company. As of this past year we have instituted an annual performance review process that aligns with our fiscal year that ends each March. We also have started compensation planning that is done on an annual basis where everyone's compensation is reviewed and pay increased are aligned with performance. Annually our sales compensation plans are rolled out to the team at the beginning of the fiscal year. Previously we had multiple businesses that had many team member practices that were not aligned.
