      Regressive Company Operations + Unethical Hiring Practices

      Pros

      I wish I could think of any, but in light of the recent return to office mandates, an all-around bumpy organizational transformation and a leadership team that is ignorant to its 'employee owners' - it's hard to consider any benefits to working here.

      Cons

      During the pandemic, this company hired many professionals under the premise that they would have PERMANENT remote/virtual roles. We now know this to be a lie. Under our new CEO/despot Mario, a sweeping in-office mandate was communicated in early December, followed by absolute silence for nearly 2 weeks while employees expressed their frustrations, concerns, distrust and pleas for leadership to reconsider and offer a more compromising solution on the matter. Since then, there has still not been a peep from our CEO. A follow-up email - which told us all how great and positive this change will be, without addressing any of the real concerns - was sent by his Chief of Staff. Cowardly, despicable and indicative of the type of 'leader' this man is.

We will continue to offer flexibility with this new hybrid model - with 40% of the work week available for professionals to work from the place of their choosing. We are looking to find the right balance of the benefits of working together, with the flexibility that comes with working away from the office. As a Marketing Manager of over four years with us, please know that the culture of flexibility that you've experienced here will remain.

      Terrible recent changes, all started with the new CEO

      Pros

      Love the people I work directly with. I've had a great experience for than 2 decades working here. I have great management directly around me and everyone genuinely cares about doing what's best for the growth of each other and our company.

      Cons

      This new CEO with a dictator-style leadership is a huge change from the previous one. Mario's already driven off excellent leadership from our executive board. His recent 180 with the required return to office has made everyone really angry. I've never seen so much hostility over a single decision. I'm scared that more of our best people will leave, and we already needed to hire more people. I'd prefer that we hit the reset button and choose a new CEO.

      New CEO - uncertain future for 100+ yr old co

      Pros

      Profit sharing, employee owned and flexibility. I've been with this company for over 10 years and have worked with a lot of really talented people. I've learned a lot and been given a lot of opportunities to learn things I never would have in any other field.

      Cons

      Seems like all the goos ones are gone. Anyone that boosted up and was willing to listen and make the little people's voices heard are all gone. They have moved to a more dictator style of management that forces their employees to bend at their will. They have decided to force their workforce back into the office 3 days a week or else mentality without much time to transition. But good news is they are willing to make exceptions for their favorites.
