Pros

*Long-time employees that seem to have each others backs *Good pay/lots of overtime if you want it

Cons

*Touchworks EHR IS AWFUL! -They are currently using about 5 different programs for their daily patients care (EHR, AllScripts, BAR, PM, PICOM...I access each of these daily). And these programs don't always communicate. Not to mention, some specialty areas have their own charting system! -They did not implement the change in charting systems effectively. We are 6 months into the change and I still feel that weekly I am being told something charting wise that I have been missing or doing incorrectly. *I've never worked for a healthcare system that has made it so blatant that they want money. -My first week in my current position, a higher up wanted me to talk to my doctor about sending things to our system instead of the hospital right across the street not because it could disrupt patient care (not get back in a timely manner, risk not having the results uploaded into the patient's chart, etc.) but because "every test we send over there is money out of our system." *Short staffing -For our clinics (at least on the MO side), we have 2 float nurses. -For our clinic, we have had 1 nurse per doctor (2 doctors). In other areas, one doctor may have 3 nurses to themself. The staffing allowances make no sense. -I am scheduled 8-5. The only time I get off at 5 is when my doctor is not in office.
