Pros

It's a noble mission -- and interactions with patients can be rewarding.

Cons

Unfortunately, the mission of the organization has become secondary to a leadership that is self-serving and arrogant. Staff are treated as disposable and volunteers treated dismissively. The Research program is focused on turning the organization into a drug company, Patient Services has been emaciated and the Advocacy program serves as a shill for drug companies. It's an intimidating and callous culture.
