Pros

Nationally LLS does a phenomenal job of helping individuals with Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma. Their Team In Training program provides a win-win situation for both the Society and the Athlete.

Cons

When issues occur their tends to be a failure to examine the whole picture. There is an air of favoritism and an atmosphere where gossip is taken as fact than getting to the truth of the matter.

Pros

Volunteers and staff are all great to work with. You truly feel like you are making a difference toward the fight against blood related cancers.

Cons

Lack of training at the Chapter level, and little oversite of Senior Management. Because of a lack of resrouces, often times you are working long and hard hours.

Pros

Working at LLS is very rewarding. Every time you speak with and/or meet with patients and/or patient families, it will re-connect you to the cause.

Cons

Working at LLS is a lot of work, including nights and weekends, for very little pay.
