Unstable place to work

Pros

The mission is a really good one.

Cons

There is a lot of behind the scenes decisions that takes place with upper management - Directors and the corporate office - and it makes for a very unstable work life. I would not work here. A lot of toxic gossip, you'll be told that the job you're doing is great and the next day everything is terrible. Really not worth it.

Pros

You build long lasting relationships with the people you meet over the years.

Cons

Management has no sense of direction. The ED plays favorites. Anyone with an opinion is either fired or made to quit

Pros

LLS provides great opportunities for young professionals, helping you learn the ins and outs of the non profit industry. Some management are great employees and have become more mentors. Overall, the people at LLS are outstanding. LLS also does a great job connecting you to the mission and making you feel included.

Cons

Senior leadership at LLS thought if you left, you can be replaced (and cheaply). Salary is low, typically below average for non-profits and you are expected to work whenever they say.
