Toxic Leadership

Pros

Flexibility with your work schedule and most teams are very respectful for work/life balance. Many great people who stay for the mission, not the organization itself.

Cons

They continuously allow leaders who cost them in lawsuits to stay within the organization. Mediocre leaders are kept which makes you wonder what is really going on behind the scenes. Coker Powell is the real CEO of this organization with Andy Kolb being a puppet for those with far stronger personalities. Organization is on downward spiral and in years time will need to partner with other nonprofits to sustain. Donors are burned out and money is drying up. Trust, I work here and it’s really bad. Cut throat leadership, so it is interesting to see who will through who under the bus to save their jobs. Very pathetic.

Pros

They are trying to improve, but for me, it's too little too late.

Cons

Awful work/life balance. ELT does not listen to the field.

Pros

We do incredibly fulfilling work at LLS. We're achieving our mission and saving lives by doing so. We work with the best staff and volunteers.

Cons

Low compensation compared to other nonprofits, unclear vision of the current direction.
