Pros

I don’t agree with the negative reviews on this forum. It seems some disgruntled employees are venting out. Bloom is one the best manufacturing and engineering company that I know of. I worked in Bloom for over 10 years. Bloom has a good culture, caring people, and modern IT systems. Bloom was IOT enabled even before the acronym became a buzzword. At Bloom, we put in the best of the systems and processes even with limited resources and budgets. IT leaders encourage their teams to work on multiple projects and tools, share knowledge, upgrade their skill sets while staying laser focussed on customer satisfaction. IT applications team was one of the best I ever worked. Leads within the group are very supportive and knowledgeable. A small team wears many hats and provides global support 24x7. People are cared for and provided a good work-life balance. Team members are business savvy and are always eager to help. I wish I can build a similar culture and team in my present company. PROS: Good product, great work-life balance and provides opportunities to train and upgrade skill set.

Cons

CONS: Top-heavy with lots of churning of senior leaders is a concern for mid and junior-level employees. 401K matching would be good.

Pros

There are some good engineers working towards next generation

Cons

Lot of discrimination in IT Management team. Lot of Force and Power used by IT leader. IT Director continuously promote and help some community employees for immigration purpose to get their work permit and permanent residence easily. IT team alone lost multimillion $ in one of project alone ( Oracle Project ) and dumped all investor money. There are so many managers in IT team and there are no employees to reporting to manager lol. There are lot of employees in IT and their job role is supposed to be engineering level, but their job is the upload and download some files from cloud lol. Information security team doesn't understand real security. There are lot security holes everywhere. Big risk for Bloom Energy customer installation infrastructure which is so weak end to end. Just one customer incident can bring company image and stakeholder value. There are lot of internal conflicts and fights within IT/information Security teams with lot of separations. There is no team work and everyday blaming each other. IT use to be good earlier, but not anymore when all good and talented employees left. If you are going to work for BloomEnergy IT then probably you didn’t get a job anywhere else in silicon valley or if you want to be a politician instead of good self-motivated engineer lol ! Salary at BloomEnergy for Sr level Engineer is almost 15-20% less compared to other silicon valley companies. IT leader openly tells in the meeting “he makes millions” other than salary.

Pros

There is not much talk about Pros

Cons

Full of cons. Bad management. Hiring under the influence especially in Bloom IT department. IT management try to build the army to take the power even with bribing the cash for some colleagues who works under IT management. Bad HR management - HR may ask you or force you to rewrite review if they want to hire their favorite candidates.
