Pros

Management does everything they can to not fire difficult employees. Truly a "family" feeling from the top down. All you can eat of a delicious product while working! Opportunities to advance within the company locally and nationally... if you are willing to wait/relocate for it. Health and dental benefits fully paid for by the company for employees. Three-part retirement plan: pension, ESOP, matching 401k. As of April 2015 they have never had layoffs or left a market once they enter it.

Cons

Management does everything they can to not fire difficult employees. This can make other people's jobs more difficult. Turnover rate seems extra high locally here. Hourly pay is lower than other local vendors. Management tries to claim that other benefits more than compensate for the difference in the hourly rate. Typical hours are 50 - 65 hours a week for full-time employees. Route sales start between 2 am and 4:30 am and work 10 - 14 hours a day. Split days off.

Pros

Retirement program best I've seen. 401k, employee stock ownership program and pension. Free health insurance to employees. Low pressure sales with an easy product to sell... just keep the shelves full with the right flavors and it sells itself. Very strong growing company. They seem to be very careful about not growing to fast. That being said every couple years they open up a new market and very quickly take over that area. Room to move up if you're willing to move.

Cons

Tends to be a good ol' boy management style. If you can't get along with your manager there is no way to get around them. Work to life balance is off. Lots of hours, early mornings and limited vacation time makes for burnt out employees.
