Pros
Really friendly staff and management. Honestly the thing that kept me working here as long as I did was not pay and certainly not love of dealing with customers. It was that I was friends with the managers and friends with the majority of my coworkers. Additionally, I am trans and had no trouble using my chosen name here, which was a big bonus for me.
Cons
Because it’s a service industry job, the normal challenges of working in a restaurant (weird hours, inconsistent pay bc it’s mostly tips, rude customers) are to be expected. Other than that, my biggest gripe was that because we were often understaffed, any employees who were genuinely detrimental to the workplace weren’t laid off or fired at the rate that everyone agreed they should have been. I’m talking about workers who were constantly late, hostile, sharked orders, argued with customers, or showed up to work high.
