Pros

Funding is not an issue, Seattle is nice

Cons

Horrible place to work. Lots of backstabbing by coworkers. Management in all directions is completely incompetent. Sad that this place promotes managers based on tenure rather than actual ability but unfortunately, the talent pool internally is pretty small.

Pros

Newly built facilities and plenty of funding for tools and equipment.

Cons

The management here is of low quality, unprofessional, and very sketchy. Supervisors will set unrealistic goals for technicians and give bad performance reviews if their expectations are not met. There is no company policy or process put in place for contesting a bad performance review. Managers and supervisors are free to do what they want with little to no accountability. They fire people people here without any explanations, warnings, or write ups. If a supervisor does not like you personally, he or she can give you bad performance reviews or build up a false case against you to get you fired and their managers and HR will go along with it without question. You will not be able to contest it because once again, there is no policy put in place to do so. HR and managers will work with supervisors to get a person fired if that supervisor wants to do it. Supervisors and managers harass technicians for petty things on a constant basis. In my 10 + years of aerospace manufacturing experience, this is the most poorly managed place I have ever worked at. Micromanaging is at a high level and on a constant daily basis. There are a lot of inexperienced supervisors put in charge of technicians. These supervisors only care about making a name for themselves and keeping their fat paychecks and not the people they are in charge of. The same can be said about their managers as well who are not involved with the technicians they are supposed to be in charge of and mostly stay in the background doing their own thing letting their supervisors do most of their dirty work for them until it's time to make a big decision like fire someone or reassign them. A lot of back stabbing going on also by other technicians snitching and complaining to management about their co workers. Morning meetings consist of grandstanding with supervisors making poor attempts to boost morale. There are Long periods of time where there will be little work and you are expected to look busy by your supervisors. If you don't look busy, enthusiastic, and motivated all the time when there is no work, they will eventually find a reason to fire you or fabricate one. If you are already working for a good company, don't risk leaving to come here. You will have very little rights here as a direct hire and be treated like a contractor. They rope people in with higher pay and try them out for a while to see whether or not they like them. The only ones that mostly stay are buddies with either their supervisor or manager. When they fire someone, they send out a mass email to all the fired employee's co workers saying that that person is no longer with the company and not to talk to them. It's very strange how this company does business. From the outside, this company tries to give off the impression that it's reputable but nothing could be further from the truth.

Pros

It is a spacecraft company and it is assumed that you work on some trending area in industry.

Cons

The company has a toxic culture. Many mid-level managers and most of the executives lack proper technical and managerial training. They often hold their positions due to personal relationships, which they proudly mentioned in several meetings. The professional staff are responsible for the majority of the workload, and recognition often depends on their relationship with their manager. It's no wonder that employee turnover is high, and you see many inactive profiles throughout the company. The company lures people with a little bit higher wages than the market, but then claim their souls. The primary goal of directors and mid-level managers seems to be satisfying the founder, JB, with inflated numbers rather than delivering quality work. It's unbelievable how a team can supposedly increase innovations by ~30% within a few weeks, right after the founder asked for more innovations.
