Pros
Most of the time I love working at Blue. My coworkers are generally great, the product is exciting, and the compensation is good. Almost all of the people I work with have 'Passion for the Mission' - feels good to be working towards something and not just generating profit for a MegaCorp. Work/life balance is generally good on my team. Obviously it's a big company, but I do see a lot of diversity where I'm at unlike another review a few down. Also feel like I have a lot of job security given how much the company is trying to accomplish and the fact we are funded by a billionaire.
Cons
Schedules are made up to appease the founder, then everybody is #shockedPikachuFace when we miss the dates by a mile. They want to magically increase rate (again, to appease founder) but aren't given all the resources they realistically need, so the onus falls on the lowest levels of management (and subsequently the people actually doing the work on the floor) to figure out how perform miracles, which - spoiler alert - nobody can do. It really drags morale down when you tell management over and over "we can't do that in that timeframe" and the response is essentially to "we'll make it work". No "we" won't. At least I'm not the one giving upper management the bad news, I guess. I think it all boils down to nobody can really give a billionaire bad news (even if they wanted to).... he does fund our paychecks and everything we work on... Lastly, I already had a job that had me coming in 4-5 days a week so I'm not impacted by the "Work from Work" situation, but I do feel for those that were swindled. For a company who's core idea is "for the Benefit of Earth", you'd think thousands of people needlessly commuting would register as contradictory to that.
