Should have Succeeded or Failed over a Decade Ago
Pros
Virtually unlimited resources to get the best equipment, materials, training, Focus on safety and professionalism. Backed by one of the richest people on Earth, so your job won't be endangered due to lack of profit. The Founder has been running the equivalent of a charitable employment environment for thousands of people for over 2 decades. It's a good place to start your career and stack of certifications. It will probably look good on your resume.
Cons
Unlimited resources and the lack of the NEED to succeed in order to survive has made the company top-heavy with managers and paper pushers who do little valuable work. Administrators are needlessly hired and create a self-sustaining admistrative load. Clowns and incompetant people who are terrible at their jobs but really good at looking busy are never fired. I only know of 1 person who was dismissed for being bad at their job (for nearly 3 years). Once that person was dismissed, the employee's manager took over some of the former employee's core duties and performed them even worse than the fired employee had been.
