The processes, deliverables, and teams are constantly changing. Schedules are still aggressive, were created without engineering input, and must be met no matter what. Everyone is afraid of being the team that doesn't meet schedule. Your boss does not have your back, and your boss' boss does not have their back. In software, pay is significantly lower than other companies in the area, but they're moving towards an Amazon culture (stack ranking and surveillance).

When I first started it was exciting and there was a lot of hiring and cool projects to work on. Then things started to not be so great. Someone was put into a management type position as a level 2 with no previous experience and a very condescending attitude. The manager also made it impossible to hire the people that we needed due to a standard that nobody could meet. Then came the launch, and while everyone was in great spirits they laid off 1500 people via email. People were also denied their bonus as management made sure to use the "inconsistent" rating. This place has become negative and nothing like what it used to be a couple years ago.
