Great coworkers and work-life balance, but poor leadership

Pros

Your coworkers and the work life balance are the best part

Cons

He CEO co tells everything except himself. He becomes easily irritate and his decision making is most appropriately described as hasty and rash. People are often hired for roles that are changed without notice or not where their experience is. The impetus of many decisions seems to be unknown by even himself. The current HR function is fulfilled without formal HR background qualifications, and there have been concerns among staff regarding professionalism and perceived favoritism. HR often is used as the vessel to execute the CEOs requests, but she can overt well scrutinize unimportant things ie: clocking out a minute early. It’s hard to execute anything when the sole decision maker struggles to retain his own direction or know what he wants to do with his business. Most jobs in the office aren’t hard to perform but the atmosphere and micromanagement make it difficult.

Pros

Not a bad starter job

Cons

Difficult to feel stable or supported due to frequent staffing changes and shifting expectations High expectations with low pay and limited benefits that do not match the workload Health insurance is advertised during hiring, but there is no clear or accessible option actually available to employees Job responsibilities change frequently—what you’re hired for is often not what you end up doing Lack of structure and constantly shifting priorities make it hard to succeed Extreme micromanagement—even small tasks are closely monitored, creating a stressful work environment Leadership creates an unpredictable atmosphere, where the tone of the day often depends on their mood Occasional perks (like leaving early) feel inconsistent with overall expectations and workload Example of poor management: office remained open during unsafe snow conditions, and employees were penalized for being even slightly late, with PTO docked down to the minute PTO policy lacks flexibility—all time off is grouped together (sick, bereavement, vacation) with no clear distinction, and often feels restrictive Overall lack of employee support contributes to low morale and high turnover

Pros

Nothing everyone is toxic here and the pay is deplorable

Cons

The worst job I ever had please if you respect yourself steer clear from this sinking ship. This company has the worst turnover rate I have ever seen to the point it’s comical. The boss should be ashamed.
