Great opportunities to make a difference in BSC and our industry
Pros
The people that work at BSC are smart and have an overall concern for doing the right thing. Personally I enjoy working in a company that has a lot of change going on and with a powerful Mission. There are also a lot of great changes underway with implementing Facets, doing a huge jive pilot and a culture initiative.
Cons
One downside of working at BSC is that it can be difficult to be productive, due to systems and applications being old, IT and Procurement process being laborious and/or slow and there can be more micromanagement than is really necessary. You become versed in how to get things done, but it takes time. Additionally, leaders are not required to take training nor are they held accountable for their effectiveness as people leaders so the maturity level and self awareness of leaders is not where it could be, at all levels of the organization.
