Pros

Good group of people practicing great quality medicine.

Cons

Worked into the ground, always on call. Practically guaranteed to be called in while on call. I had no idea when or if I would be able to go home after my shifts. Counting on call duties, I was always scheduled to work a 36 hour minimum shift. Destroyed my physical and mental health. Ridiculously high prices, which are out of reach for the vast majority of the local clientele.

Corporate ruined a fabulous hospital

Pros

There is not one pro

Cons

Corporate buyout ruined the culture of the hospital. Untrustworthy top level management, incompetent local level management. Concerns with maintaining profit over taking care of employees is blatantly obvious. Business model of creating a monopoly in region and then jacking up prices is disgusting.

Pros

There are a lot of career growth opportunities within the organization. Most of the hospital leaders care a lot about their associates and their career paths.

Cons

The HR team and senior leadership don’t care about your problems. I’m not talking about hospital leaders. I mean HR and senior leadership specifically. I brought multiple concerns to HR, and nothing was ever done to support the associates. After ten long years with the company, I had to resign. It wasn’t until my exit interview that I laid everything on the table, and still, absolutely nothing was done.
