Pros

I love my job and the remaining people who work here. I love what I do and I have always done it for the passion of animals and education. We have always practiced high standards of medicine and continue to strive for the best care and most modern science and research

Cons

As highly adverstised BluePearl claims to invest in their associates. There has been incredible loss in associate retention due to non-competitive wages, benefits and opportunities. Their salary offering is insulting and negotiations to stay make you question your self worth. They will higher a less qualified associate at a higher rate than their senior expert associates. They will continue to increase their cost to clients as well which often deters people from seeking medical care or forces them to euthanize their family member. It's mentally devestating when you constantly see this on a multiple times a day basis.

Pros

Animals, fun coworkers, animals. Did i mention there are dogs?

Cons

Management from the top to the supervisors couldn't be more clueless. We have a new Wellness Program. This program literally came with a new rule that we are not allowed to complain for the first 30 minutes of our shift. Does management want to address the things we complain about? Nope. They just want us to not discuss them. We also got an email this week about "reframing" negative thoughts. The literal example was we should reframe the thought/complaint "A dog peed on me" to "At least it didn't pee in your mouth.". ????? Management allows the same employees to slack off / not work day after day while not encouraging people who are new or excited about being at Blue Pearl.

Pros

Dogs! high quality vets, LVT’s, and vet assistants. Caring support staff.

Cons

MARS Corp. refuse to pay living wage. 100% ALL they care about is profit and money. Toxic corporate culture. People are quitting right and left because of it and management simply shrugs it off and hire new people. Terrible PTO. UNDERSTAFFED. It’s not uncommon for me to man the front desk alone for 8 hours without any break. We haven’t had any raises in over a year.
