Enough is enough

Pros

Being able to write our truth after the fact!

Cons

I would like to say that I worked for BM and although the “great reviews” have a few positive points believe the Negative reviewers. Most people only write when they truly believe they have been wronged. I could go on about what unbelievable unconventional business goes on. Employees act out their frustrations by expressing themselves truthfully without being judged and telling their stories... at what point is someone who cares about the business going to listen?

Retail hell

Pros

Gratis, work with outside vendors. Good hours. Spa services. Some trainings.

Cons

What a joke. Seriously if anyone knows how bad retail can get, it's worse. -Micromanagement -Cliques -Favoritism -Upper management harassment (scare tactics) - no sick pay, no PTO (the benefits are a joke) They don't tell you during the interview how much operational duties you have to do on a daily basis. You are more of a clerk then a Makeup Artist. No freedom, no work/life/ Balance. One of the worst companies I've worked for. Ugh.

A mess all around

Pros

Only good thing about working for BM is the gratis you get from the different makeup lines. But not worth the daily torture you receive.

Cons

Zero maternity leave. Yes, you read correctly. And yes, the CEO is a woman with a family. You're promised 34-36 hours a week as a full time sales associate. But weekly your hours get cut to 28-31 (if your lucky). You only make commission if your store makes goal. Which is never. High expectations and zero respect. Huge lack of communication between managers-high up and store managers. There is a large turn over rate for employees because of how poorly you are treated. No control over your schedule. It is a mess all around.
