Pros

You get gratis....If it isn't stolen

Cons

Everything. This company has such a disregard for their employees it's unbelievable. They don't care about your safety, your well being, anything. They didn't send toilet paper, tissues, cotton rounds to us for 7 months. When we kept telling the higher ups we needed supplies, they would evade our questions. However, when they came into our store, they yelled at us for it. They also refuse to have any kind of security. Working where I did, we were surrounded by bars and had a high theft problem. We had all women at our store, and we were often left to close alone. We had told our higher ups we felt unsafe being by ourselves so often. Not only did they not care, they cut our hours so we would be alone more often. It was impossible to take care of the store when your alone so often.

Pros

I love the time I get to spend with a client when doing makeup, it allows me to demonstrate my true make up skill set. I was shocked at how affordable the benefits really are and I have a 401K thats already GROWING!!!!! I recently went through training and it was really really fun. Training was presented in a very understand -no pressure way....I mean all the brands in the store there's so much to know. My manager sent me home with samples to try so I can understand the training of the brands! My next stop...is to the spa where I am going to have a facial.

Cons

the time flies by when your having fun!

Pros

None but I’m being forced to write 20 words minimum. None, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none,

Cons

Hours cut. Managers now work 30 hours full time Lack of professionalism Macy’s pay grid taking effect equals lower pay for selling luxury cosmetics Zero help staffing spa employees or figuring out how to pay them correctly to work at Bluemercury. Mangers expected to keep spa numbers up without a esthetician-total joke For store contest newer stores are put into tiers against 20 year old comping stores if they have been successful in the past year. Makes it impossible to win anything
