Pros

Top of the line products. Very entrepeneurial environment . Super fun to work here. Company prides itself on promoting from within which is great. All my bosses have been here for years and started as sales associates.

Cons

Entrepeneurial environment is not for everyone- not a lot of structure. Systems not up to date- a lot is still done manually or faxed, etc

Pros

-Lots of gratis -You get to work with a wide variety of product lines -Lots of product training

Cons

-Abusive upper management. Problems are addressed with yelling and threats -The hours are long and the schedule is not consistent. I often worked 8 days in a row with one day off. I had to take long lunches so they could keep me at the store for 10 hours without being paid overtime -MANY labor violations. During my time there I was denied bathroom and lunch breaks on a regular basis. I worked a 12 hour shift with one 30 minute break. One time I was at the store completely alone for 8 hours with no bathroom break, no lunch break, nothing. -They are always trying to short you on your checks so read them carefully -Sales associates are in charge of EVERYTHING in the store - cleaning the bathroom, mopping the floor, vacuuming, accounting, creating displays, wiping the windows, training new employees (which there almost always are because turnover is so high) all while the store is open and we are supposed to be selling. -Holiday season is sheer hell. -The entire company is a disorganized mess. Upper management will get angry and yell at you for THEIR OWN MISTAKES. There is no such thing as apologizing and taking responsibility for mistakes in this company. By the time I finally quit after only six months (longer than most employees last at the company) I was constantly anxious, depressed, and sometimes borderline suicidal because of the constant barrage of harassment coming at me at work and also off the clock through email. My friends, family, and boyfriend were worried about me as I had become distant. I actually feel like I have mild PTSD from this job and have considered seeing a therapist to talk about it.

Pros

Awesome gratis. Friendly staff. 30% employee discount. And informative trainings. If I could stay just for the free stuff and loads of information I would.

Cons

They pay as low as possible. Tell you one thing in your interview then low ball you when they call to hire you. Bonus is only 1% of what you sell which is obnoxious especially if you have a slow store. Only the managers can do the employee discount so if you aren't on a shift with the manager which can happen often you are screwed. Almost impossible to get morning shifts and some stores are open till 9 pm. And they usually get dead after 6 so how does one make any goals if they are there from 3-9 and only have 3 hours with a good flow of customers? Also no time and a half on holidays or Sunday's.
