Awfully managed company with so much promise

Pros

Wonderful brand selection, clean environment, extensive product training, gratis

Cons

Horrific upper management (both district and upper), rude managers, unprofessional behavior, unfair bias and favoritism leading to higher hourly rates that employees are not deserving of, not practicing what you preach as your "values," disconnect between CEO/CFO and what is really happening in stores with employees, customer experience, and your management team, no room for growth despite expressing interest (requests went completely unacknowledged and unanswered)

Pros

Great, nice customers, coworkers have a passion for the products, products, philosophy, gratis, not pushing customers to buy, non commission,

Cons

managers not following philosophy. Manager lack of integrity causing chronic turnover. Head management's narrow minded focus on opening new stores and keeping a manager who is confrontational and inapropriate.

Unprofessional and poorly run.

Pros

Lots of great brands. Flexible schedule.

Cons

No paid holidays, push for the house brand is insane (what is the point of open sell if you can't sell what you want or what the client truly needs?), due to lack of payroll frequently working open to close shifts, more and more events every season, upper management is rude and disorganized, there is promoting from with in but the higher you climb the more miserable you become, no interest in the welfare of employees (ie: expected to work during a snow emergency when it is clearly not safe to drive, unaffordable health care), environmentally unfriendly (keeps the doors open most of the year, uses way too much paper by printing and faxing reports every day instead of transmitting electronically), lack of benefits and decent hourly plus having to pay for parking limits the numbers of strong candidates interested.
