Pros

I have worked here at the downtown Chicago location for several years. It has been so much fun and better than my last job at the department store at the mall. I am seeing so many of my customers that used to shop at the mall and now come to this more convenient location, right near where they live. Upper management has encouraged me to learn so much and I have enjoyed teaching my customers everything I learn. It is great to be part of a company that cares about its staff's and I have shared my knowledge with all my customers. Since I had joined the company they have continued to open more stores in Chicago area. I am proud.

Cons

The company gives out free products to the staff to try from the vendors. They have not given out as much free products this year (I love that part of this job, free stuff)! I love trying all products, especially when they are free.

Pros

They are growing so fast which means there is always a lot to do which also means that you get a lot of responsibility fast. This makes it a great place to learn as I have had the chance to touch so many different things like marketing, merchandising, PR, and the internet.

Cons

It was never boring but sometimes I felt like I was in over my head.

Pros

I've been here (retail store) for a few years and have been well-trained in the product lines and the company policies and have gradually gotten more responsibility. I went from part time associate to full time, then to holding a key then to store assistant manager. I've appreciated the time that the store manager and regional manager spent with me to bring me along and feel like I have a good chance at a store manager opportunity coming up so I wanted to let possible new employees know that my experience has been great.

Cons

The store has a lot of brands and you are expected to be an expert. You get training but it is important to pay attention because I've found that the customers really value it if you know what you are talking about. I've noticed that customers have high expectations of us so I've caught on that I need to be able to know alot to help them with their problem areas.
