Pros

The people that you work with here are some of the best and brightest. I made some great friends at this company. The people that you work with there are really the only pro of the company. You get free product from time to time, but that doesn't even come close to making up for the headaches and stress that this place will put you through

Cons

Where to begin? First off, don't expect a high trajectory career path here. You are pretty much going to stay in the position you are hired to do and not get a promotion or raise, unless you are an upper management favorite. You will be expected to do the work of seven people, while only being paid pennies for it. The office is waaaay too small for the number of people that work there, and there are no plans to even expand, so if they hire more people they are going to have to start sitting on the floor. This seems like a greedy way to save money and have their employees work in ridiculous quarters just so the CEO and senior management can reach their yearly revenue goals by minimizing expenses. There isn't even a receptionist, so when a high profile person comes into the office they make another employee sit at the receptionist desk to give the appearance that this company has it all together, which is far from the case. The turn over rate is insane! With the number of people going in and out of the doors there you would think the company would do more to try and change the culture and keep people, but everyone there is just looked at as expendable. They are more confident in the fact that they know people will always apply for job there just because it is a well-known brand, but don't want to actually focus on keeping current employees. Even though the company is nearing on 20 years old you'd think it's still just a few years old and going through growing pains, which goes to show that the CEO and management don't actually want to invest in the company and make the operations more seamless and easier. This whole company is pretty much jerry-rigged together

Pros

What I would say is the only true pro is that BM is relatively a relaxed environment.

Cons

The pay is not on any sort of scale that would make sense. They do not use merit, performance, or cost of living in your area to decide your wage. The company is growing way too fast and they are neglecting their current stores in terms of cutting their hours drastically, no stock support, no cleaning support, no assistant manager positions, and no key holder positions. There are stores generating well over $2 mil with no other management than the SM. They rely too much on the District Managers to manage the stores and the store managers are not empowered to run their store like their own business. Everything and I mean everything has to be run by the DM. Managers are treated like children in the sense that we can not communicate with anyone in corporate without the DM’s approval. They penalize the whole because of a few. It is very hard to stay positive and enthusiastic about a company that clearly sees everyone as expendable.

Pros

Gratis every once in awhile.

Cons

Absolutely horrible office culture. Management does not care about employee well being, benefits suck, morale low, teamwork doesnt exist and CEO and COO absolutely dont care one bit about their staff. No flexibility on work, benefits horrible, and everyone only cares about themselves. Its toxic.
