Pros

Gratis, discounts, high-end brands, product training.

Cons

Poor upper management, zero communication with upper management, no work life balance, HR department is horrible, and you can never get ahold of them. No security at all. The thing that they are lacking in is brand availability. They don't carry enough of the upcoming brands. In the past 2 years they pulled 9 brands out of my store, and I was told in the past year I would be getting new brands. Never did received them. I was always low on stock. At times my guest thought my store was going out of business. The big kicker is no security! To be threatened and harassed by a customer who wanted to return something that we never sold her, and the company did nothing to protect my staff and me.

Pros

The products are top of the line and the clients that shop at Bluemercury truly look for expertise and top of the line service. It makes the job enjoyable.

Cons

They are still learning to develop their people, and unfortunately it shows in the culture of the teams. There is not much growth opportunity to move up in the company, however it is a great way to gain experience in the retail world.
