Pros

Most co-workers are amazing people, very knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy. The benefits package is good, although the salaries are on the low side.

Cons

Few co-workers affect negatively the workplace with their lack of integrity and character.

Pros

Good product. Company is built on a strong foundation with history. Free meals, open kitchen.

Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. It's surprising that this company hasn't already crashed and burned considering how backwards everything is here. Management seems blind to all of the issues and assures everyone that they're doing a good job because the company continuously puts out a high-quality product that sells. Many employees are lifers and have worked there for years, yet there is still lots of turnover (especially in IT). The IT department is the worst I have ever worked with and everyone constantly has issues with servers, email, lack of optimization, slow connections, etc. Everything about Boar's Head is extremely archaic and they refuse to move in new, brighter, and better directions. They don't care about broadening horizons or changing things as the rest of the world moves forward because they are stuck in their ways and get by solely because they make a good product. Management wastes your time with pointless meetings that could easily be e-mails and their "creative department" has no creative director. The marketing directors make art direction decisions which results in an awful end-product because they have no taste or art experience. This company fires anyone who has fresh, new ideas or tries to help bring the company forward. This is a very "you have one job: do as you're told" working environment which is lacks a positive, forward-thinking nature that employees thrive on.
