Frustratingly close to being great
Pros
Lots of opportunity to learn, grow your responsibilities, network. Company is supportive of moving around. Tuition reimbursement is second to none. Generally friendly and helpful coworkers. Interesting technical problems to solve.
Cons
Pay is very lackluster compared to the cost of living. Promotion process is very political, vague, and intentionally obtuse. Company is completely bogged down in unnecessary red tape, bureaucracy, and redundant work. Roles and responsibilities are extremely broad and vague. Often feels like you're doing other's work for them. Lots of finger pointing, deflecting, and blame game. Company is extremely siloed with extremely little coordination between departments. Very top heavy with layers of unnecessary middle managers that contribute very little actual value.
