Pros

Benefits are good. I think the best health insurance Ive had ever. I always able to get my pilot license paid for (mostly).

Cons

Boeing has this problem that they want to be like “the old boeing” where there is no flexibility, managers are nothing but micromanagers and they want everyone to be a “go getter”. Before I continue I have to say I was hired remote and they said I will be fine, then they took it away… even with everyone back, profits are at a low, worse then when we were remote. Since joining, my experience has been bad, on top of having a whole identity crisis and in the end realizing I hate the corporate world and engineering. I don’t think boeing has helped at all in navigating me through this stage of my life or even persuading me that this is what I truly want out of life. I have moved to 2 positions in this company and somehow both managers were new to management and knew nothing about soft skills or people’s relations. Let me give you one example, I got really hurt last summer (2023) and I had a dr note, excused to work from home. My manager was bothering me for details, which I did not give me. Also he would compare his soccer game injuries to my issues.,“Like gee thanks”. I know you are trying to relate but you're coming off like a dïćk and he was only bringing it up to brag on how it didn’t stop him from coming in. Another was travel, I was hired when travel was optional. They are now forcing everyone to travel when they have 0 authority at the suppliers site. My coworker was in wichita 75% of the year, just to not really get anything done and he also got a “met expectations” on his yearly review. The disrespect and my managers reasoning is because “nothing was implemented”. How the heck can you implement something if they dont even want to work with us? Anyway, I have mixed feelings. I am not writing this mad but if you are confused about your career, this is the place that will help you fixed that.
