Pros

Interesting job, flexible hours, great co-workers, great resources (labs, technicians, materials). The work really is interesting. You learn a lot and its hard to get bored.

Cons

Terrible pay, small raises, scarce promotions, frequent lay-offs, over-paid management. I really feel undervalued and under appreciated. I don't know how much longer I can stay with the company.

Pros

OK pay and benefits. I work in Research and Development and there is a lot of freedom in my job and travel although this not typical.

Cons

Confusing and arbitrary management and finance structure. Advancement means often means changing states.
