Great benefits, but politics get in the way of engineering

Pros

Great benefits in terms of pay, retirement, holidays and general time off and flexibility for engineers. Lots of great, cutting edge problems to solve.

Cons

Get 85% complete and management/politics change and project is sidelined. Too many initiaties to save money in procurement end up costing greatly in project delays and wrong parts ordered.
