Pros

Working from home is nice

Cons

I came into the communication center position so excited, and thinking that Bond was truly "changing the game" for veterinary medicine, as they claim to be. Unfortunately, it became very clear that this is not the case. The company seems to care more about how they appear on their website/social media than actually taking care of employees, retaining staff, and sticking to their values. I have never seen a higher turnover rate than I have in the communication center at Bond, and that is saying something for vet med. I have also never been contacted to cover shifts so frequently on my days off, even though the company claims to value work/life balance. Additionally, a sick policy was implemented to punish employees for using their earned sick time. The phone call volume in the communication center is overwhelming. As the company continues to lose staff members, while opening new clinics, the communication center cannot keep up. You are expected to answer back to back calls most of the day with little to no time to follow up on your cases, which makes for unhappy clients. It feels as if you are set up for failure, as there is no way to get back to every client efficiently. The communication at Bond is poor, despite that being one of the company's values. I am an attentive employee, yet still found myself guessing what is going on a majority of the time. I also noticed that the staff would not be told about new opportunities within the company. Management would choose who they wanted to promote without giving anyone else a chance to interview.

Pros

Great company that cares about its staff and their wellbeing. We get time set aside daily to be able to catch up on things such as call backs, diagnostic work ups, cases, etc. Lunch time is also a priority.

Cons

Sometimes the days get really busy and borderline crazy, which is also typical for the field especially since the pandemic. With the busier days can be difficult to keep up on writing charts.
