      Pros

      Great people... respecting each other... I am lucky yo have a great manager and team lead, who recognize my effort. I came from a defense contractor, and Booz Allen gave me higher salary and up-word mobility... although people say that it will stop at level 3... =)

      Cons

      Being a consultant, you got to do whatever that is needed for the client... Management would not shield you a lot of times even if the client's needs are unreasonable. Also, it is difficult to find out different opportunities within the firm if you are working at a client site.

      Pros

      Booz Allen Hamilton has a fantastic benefits package including contributions to the employee's retirement fund not contingent on the employee actually contributing anything from his or her own salary. The firm is quite understanding when it comes to work life balance issues, and many employees work a flex time schedule, including taking Fridays off or working from home when needed. With offices all around the country, relocating is possible, but is based on having project needs at satellite offices outside of McLean. Tuition reimbursement and professional certification funding are at $5000 and $2500 per year respectively. Each employee is permitted to take 40 hours of work time per year for training.

      Cons

      Compensation, from my understanding, is a bit below competitor firms in the area.

      Pros

      As opposed to other companies that hold back the leadership training, Booz Allen requires all employees to seek out and gain competence in all aspects of leadership, management, and technical ability.

      Cons

      I appreciate that I can reach out to any peer at any time to provide input as needed, but I wish I didn't have to feel like I am on call all the time in return.
