Pros

Bose is a great company to work for and they do offer advancement opportunities to employees that exhibit a strong desire to succeed. Bose offers great benefits to their employees. The people I work with on a daily basis are great!!!

Cons

The Staff level management is very disconnected with plant operations. They are more focused on trying to mimic the Toyota Way rather than trying to keep manufacturing work here in the US. They very rarely initiate any type of positive recognition for a job well done. Unfortunately they have became more focused on filling out their daily standard works cards rather than focusing on keeping the 600 employees at this site employed. I wish they would wake up before it is too late.

Pros

A fun environment. Everyone in my is always a happy to be working for the company. There is so much to learn about the products and the art of selling. The benefits package is incredible for the position I am employed in. The training is very involved in learning the various technologies of the product. The best is thing is being able to teach to my clients the advantages of using our products in helping to create a great sound within their home.

Cons

There are some days that are just slow even with banal tasks.

Pros

Bose makes products that people enjoy - speakers and entertainment systems that allow people to enjoy their music. Also they hire brilliant people, so you're often engaged in intelligent conversations. If you enjoy seeing an innovation make its way from napkin sketch to real product you'll be able to - although it can take a long time.

Cons

The culture is very insular - at all levels - but at the center is an inner circle of senior management that seems almost completely cut off from the outside world. And in general the company takes itself way too seriously, with very strict rules about the most banal things (like parking). The cult of personality around Dr. Bose can get creepy at times, too.
