Pros

The main office / studio is pretty and in a great area; being around music and arts - whether you're an artist or administrator - is fabulous. They have great quality of instruction for their students, children to adult, and the quality of the performance season is always top notch. (With some exceptions, which is expected), the people there are fabulous. It can be a lot of fun! Free tickets to performances, deals to other arts/cultural institutions. Benefits are okay.

Cons

The pay is low (no surprise there), communication can be a problem. The benefits are okay, but not great. The school can be highly disorganized, and every so often goes through periods of high turnover which make it difficult to do the job at times.

The people at this organization are a joy to work with. Collaborative and friendly environment in a beautiful office space. I enjoy getting to interact with the wonderful dancers.

Cons

Communication between some departments is sometimes disorganized. Budget limitations can be frustrating, but most non-profits deal with this issue.
