      Great work environment but the location is a little sketchy and pay isn't great for non-unions

      Great work environment Work-life balance is good rarely do I have to work overtime Accessible by public transportation Good potential for growth depending on the department

      Cons

      Location isn't great. There are a lot of homeless and drunk people around campus Pay isn't great for non-union workers

      Pros

      BMC truly serve the low end of the society and if you want to serve and ignore other issues, this is your place.

      Cons

      * Longs hours, I can deal with sometimes but not all the times! * Management truly values tenure rather than skills. The reason is that most of the senior management have grown up through the ranks at BMC and do not have outside experience that is needed to change direction. * BMC is set in its old ways and wasting money when they are in a hole to begin with! * Also, even thou BMC is no longer City owned or operated, the politics have not changed at all!
