Pros

- Fairly stable job that is easy to get. - No working with the general public.

Cons

- Trainers often seem to be vaguely scared you'll get them in trouble so often the training is vague and very "just look at the document" - Related to above, the culture among employees and even some management feels like it prioritizes fast "good enough" work and not slow accurate work which for me was hard as these are important devices. I had a coworker frequently sign off on inspections I knew they didn't do but I felt that the manager simply wouldn't care if I reported it. - My station had ergonomic issues which created shoulder pain and instead of fixing it they would throw more people onto it. It took me a while to report the shoulder pain because with how everyone talked about it it did not seem unknown to management. Honestly when I did report it the job became more stressful because I was limited to two hours a day and with no one else assigned to the station I had a feeling it was going to be a lot of mandatory overtime and that was part of why I quit. - Mandatory overtime is fine but it's frustrating to not have any sort of warning that it's coming and I don't feel like multiple weeks in a row should be considered acceptable. Also if you're going to reward people with food it would be nice to check in with people and see if they can even eat the thing you're getting. - I did not like being relied on as the only person at my station on my shift as a temp worker who was still very new. This could have been fixed but my manager did not want to assign anyone else even after I reported my injury.

Pros

People I work with are great!

Cons

Business growth is often used as a metric for success, but true success is measured by how a company treats the people who built that growth. Lately, there is a troubling trend: organizations hitting record milestones while simultaneously withdrawing support from the teams on the ground. When executives hire 'leaders' who prioritize their own visibility over their team's stability, the foundation begins to crack. Furthermore, the sweeping elimination of remote roles isn't just about 'culture'—it’s a choice that often results in losing some of the most dedicated, high-performing talent simply because of their zip code. Growth without support isn't sustainable. It’s just burnout in disguise. We need to get back to leadership that advocates for people, not just for the next quarterly report
