Great products but poor management

Pros

Boston scientific got a good portfolio of life saving products. Good set of knowledgeable employees. Market provides a chance for turn around.

Cons

It had a decade of absolutely worst top management among top US companies. It lost lot of talent due to poor decision making, bungled implementation and not so good middle management.

Pros

Boston Scientific is a good, quality company, who has grown considerably, and has come out well positioned on the other end of some bruising years. There are many friendly people who are easy to work with.

Cons

I would say there are the same cons at Boston Scientific that are associated with most large companies - politics can be frustrating some times, and the inability of large initiatives to move quickly (which is natural, but still can be frustrating).

-Extremely helpful manager -Good salary for an intern -Exposure to various aspects of business and senior level managers -Training programs were state of the art, and I was able to take a lot from the teachers -Housing in a good area

Cons

-Location is in Marlborough, MA -lack of diversity and inclusion -Intern Class divided into cliques -You had to take your own car to work and even drive 40 minutes for a volunteer event that we were not reimbursed for
