      Much better when it was Guidant

      Pros

      Guidant (not sure about BSX) cared about patients and employees, not just the bottom line. Fred McCoy was really approachable. Tried very hard to produce quality medical devices even though there were some legal issues.

      Cons

      BSX doesn't seem to care about anything except the bottom line. Guidant was Top 100 Places to Work For ... BSX? Management admitted they didn't care about that at all. Says a lot about the culture.

      Pros

      Great people, freedom to run projects, always time to through a new idea, good benefits, competitive pay, ability to take risks

      Cons

      Lack of communication from Sr Leadership, finger pointing organization, unclarity about the goal and objectives, dry pipeline, feeling that Sr Management never thought of the future

      interesting field to work in, fun people on the peer level, good benefits, great experience to be able to sell, fun customers

      Cons

      constant change, tons of cost cutting measures in place due to heavy debt, inexperienced management in place due to CEO changes and quality problems
