      Boston Scientific CRM Saint Paul MN

      Pros

      The pay is pretty good and most of the people here are really top flight. It looks like the market has bottomed out and we maybe in for a real upswing in the CRM business.

      Cons

      Lots of Layoffs, about one per year, typical office politics, power games and people not really taking ownership of problems. The CRM business has not done very well over the last 10 years or so--it's not just Boston CRM however, the entire pacemakers and other implantable cardiac device market has fallen on hard times.

      Lack of management strategy

      Pros

      Great people at the individual contributor level and even some managers. Good location north of the Twin Cities, just off of 694 with access to some good restaurants for lunch. Free parking relatively close to buildings.

      Cons

      Director level and above have a lack of strategy. Made it through 4 layoffs in 3 years of employment but always worried about job security. Work/Life balance heavily leaned the wrong way. A manager told me to expect to work from 7 AM to 7 PM.

      Pros

      Great opportunity to learn how to work in an ever changing and challenging environment. Good life long skills.

      Cons

      Upper management is out of touch. Decisions are obviously driven by money and money only. The company has been struggling for many years and is unable to see that unhappy and over worked employees will lead to an underperforming company.
