Pros

I loved my coworkers and the company. It was so wonderful getting to know what is popular at the time and to be able to build a connection with customers.

Cons

They don’t offer competitive pay. Out of all the stores in a mall box lunch is one of the lowest paying jobs. The company is aware of it and are not willing to work with you for better pay.

Pros

The company has a great message and depending on the store you work at you will enjoy almost every day. The customers for the most part are nerds just like you and love chatting about all the new stuff.

Cons

It’s hard to move up in any position without having to move locations and that is solely dependent on if someone else leaves. The pay is also not competitive at all with little to no raises beyond a promotion raise. Management will change their expectations every other day and expect you to be perfect 100% of the time. They say they care about the employees but don’t actually try to get to know anyone.

Pros

Good employee discount as it goes across 3 brands, boxlunch , hot topic and torrid. Flexible hours as long as you had the availbility Sell cool stuff to cool people

Cons

Unlike their sister store there was a much stricter dress code and how strongly it was enforced seem to be based on district to district. Snitching on other stores and judging others based on "how well" they followed it seemed to be encouraged
