Pros

Great workers, and great customer servicing can be taught here.

Cons

As a full time manager you are expected to work off the clock. District managers are spiteful if you leave stores/positions, the software they use for communications and at a corporate level are incredibly dated and will continue to fall behind the fast fashion trend if they don't streamline their processes. For the amount of work store managers do, they are not getting paid enough, we get paid the minimum a store manager should get paid and bonuses/ raises are promised but never fullfilled. If you want to move into being a district manager, you are told you must train to be a multi unit store manager, which has no pay increase.

Pros

Fun store and the environment is relatively youthful. Easy to get into the groove of things.

Cons

Sales oriented-Not a typical retail job you are expected to upsell products and loyalty. Very little hours!- If you need money this isn’t the place to get consistent hours and good pay most hours I ever received a week was 15 but typically got anywhere from 8-10. Some cases associates were not out on the schedule and my particular store had a high turnover rate. Dress code is a bit strict we didn’t wear uniforms but were asked to dress fashionably, naturally women got more notes on their appearance at work then others.

Pros

My coworkers were the only thing that kept me at this company. That and the employee discount was pretty good.

Cons

The pay, while I was employed there, was pretty awful. I worked through the COVID-19 pandemic (in a skeleton crew of only management for the first couple of months of reopening) dealing with some pretty awful and belligerent customers who refused to take pandemic store policies seriously, extra cleaning tasks throughout the day, and, of course, the regular everyday store operations. In the late winter/early spring of 2021, our district manager informed us that management was being given a bonus for our hard work and dedication during the pandemic... a 2% bonus. So instead of making $11.00/hr I would be making $11.22/hr. So by the end of a typical 8-hour shift, I could look forward to bringing home an extra $1.76. My point is that the pay was crappy and you have to love the job if you want any chance of being happy. Since I left, I've heard that they increased the starting wage for associates (which was minimum wage), but only after they weren't able to get anyone to work.
