Pros

There are some dedicated, well trained, hard working folks in certain areas of the hospital. Most people are kind and take pride in their work. I have worked on hospital and clinic sides. In patient definitely much better organized or run ( maybe not the medical floor- sorry , but that is common) Unfortunately, many are not staying due to toxic / ill equipped leadership team and and never ending mid - level managers who were promoted from administrative positions and contributing to our downfall. Making good strides in EMR and efficiencies. Organization attempts to value employees with non heart-felt, unorganized gifts and celebrations. I guess it's the thought that counts. Decent benefits

Cons

Persons doing the work on the ground are extremely understaffed and burnt out . I feel like the culture has accommodated employees that do not show up or do the bare minimum. When you are smart and work hard = more work for you. until you are worked into the ground. Too many managers and managers that are not qualified to be doing their jobs. This needs to be fixed. This is contributing greatly to the inefficiencies and money lost. One of our higher ups was a personal trainer before??? There are some great managers too. Many of those folks have been driven out if they stand up for their employees or don't follow the awful staffing ratios. They invested their money in too many urgent cares and travelers and now they are broke. Boots on the ground will suffer again. Why can't they support their own with proper education department, a real new grad program, and mandatory sabbaticals for providers? This would make so much sense. CNO needs to walk around the hospital, connect, and understand our strengths and weaknesses. She has made no efforts to understand the situation. This needs to change now. HR is a complete nightmare and needs to be redone completely. Not sure how this is still the case, but please change anything. CEO has driven other hospitals into the ground. There are articles detailing this. He just showed us his first step. I think we need to realize this, and protect this place before its in the ground too.
