Pros

Work/life balance, PTO and holidays were better than normal for construction jobs. Lots of experience among senior and longer tenured employees.

Cons

Slow downs and work drying up as a result of the economy, labor, supply chain issues and other factors hit a builder like this harder due to work being siloed in residential construction. Lots of reno, affordable housing, mixed use leading to limited project variety. Transparency is lacking unless you're one of the "in-crowd" and someone higher up is honest with you. Production is prioritized over safety, sometimes quality. Many younger employees suffer with growth and promotion due to favoritism, regardless of department. Lots of "problem" employees and abrasive people who aren't checked by leaders or supervisors. Consistent use of underperforming subcontractors who contract out their labor to small companies with no structure, no safety culture, and no concern for image.

Thank you for taking your time to give us feedback. We're pleased to hear that you found our PTO, company holiday schedule and work/life balance to be strong, especially given the unique structure of the construction industry. We also appreciate your recognition of the deep experience within our senior and long-tenured team members. We appreciate you bringing to light some of the challenges you faced. Your feedback touches on several key areas where we know we can improve. It is critical that our environment promotes career development and uplifts our employees in all aspects of their careers. Comments like yours help guide the improvements we're actively working toward. Thank you again for taking the time to share your insights. We wish you all the best in your future.
