Pros

It is a very ethical company and is generally fair to employees.

Cons

I saw a major layoff every 9 months in my time with Brady. They have struggled to grow and the leadership seems to keep repeating the same strategies that haven't been successful. They had a major layoff a couple years back. In and around the layoff, many people left voulantarily. Much of the good talent has left. They have a new CEO and maybe can find a new direction.

Pros

Decent benefits package. Able to purchase up to 5 additional vacation days per year. Most of the employees are genuinely good people.

Cons

There is growth potential in certain markets, but management is so greedy with LEAN practices that they won't invest in the resources necessary to grow these markets. Management preaches to their employees about "winning the right way", but the company can't seem to follow this advice itself. The company keeps downsizing and restructuring its North American team even though sales keep growing in that region. Employees who get paid hourly are not allowed overtime even when overtime is a must in order to meet the Day's demands. In order to keep sane, it is an absolute must to purchase the 5 additional vacation days per year (just try not to use them to catch up on work).

Pros

Small company yet very global Great history and legacy Colleagues are nice

Cons

Top leadership of the company lacks "leadership". They are C- at the best. Culture of fear prohibits mid level managers and employees from questioning their leaders. There is a severe lack of empathy and role model leadership by top management. Brady has gone from being a company that did not care about diversity to now being a company that want to improve diversity numbers to please the board. Does not matter how this is accomplished. Company is small so career growth and development opportunities are very limited. Stay away if you have a choice!
