Pros

Working at the Singapore Braze office has been a fantastic experience. The highlight of this workplace has to be the incredible pantry—it's always well-stocked with snacks, beverages, and treats to keep everyone energized throughout the day. The events organized by the team are another standout feature; they're thoughtfully planned, super engaging, and really help build a sense of camaraderie among colleagues. The office environment is modern and welcoming, and the leadership truly values employee well-being. The culture here fosters collaboration and innovation, making it a great place to grow professionally.

Cons

None worth mentioning keep up the good work WE and IT Team

Pros

- Senior leadership and board are adept at strategic decision making and steering the direction of the company along with communicating to the broader team to bring everyone along - Great place for career development if you are ambitious - there is a significant learning stipend, focus on professional development, and supportive leaders who act as mentors and will look to recognize top performers and provide opportunities as/when they arise - The culture is something special - the Workplace Experience team makes the office environment warm and coordinates regular events that are conducive to getting to know coworkers in a less formal environment

Cons

- As Braze grows, it introduces more processes, silos, and specialisation, which can sometimes hinder the pace of progress in spaces that were previously simpler to execute / navigate - If you work on a global team or across regions there can be requests made across time zones and the need to flex working hours in order to accommodate live meetings with global counterparts

Pros

- Our engineers and engineering leaders are tremendously smart and capable. We have a relatively small engineering org considering our scale, and we still manage to ship market-leading features. I learn from my colleagues every day. - Our approach to engineering management is thoughtful and yields excellent results. Teams are small enough that engineers can have a relationship with their manager, and big enough to facilitate autonomy. - The company is big enough to have opportunities for huge impact, small enough that a single determined person can deliver the impact, and set up to reward doing so. If this is exciting to you, you'll love Braze. - Within the engineering org, compensation is highly competitive.

Cons

- Sometimes we take the idea of being "self-organizing" and "bottom up" structure too far and end up failing to coordinate or lacking a cohesive vision. This is sometimes slow to be addressed by leadership. - Some challenges end up being addressed by committee, which makes progress against them glacial. - We have some technical growing pains as we emerge from our startup era and target our Fortune 500 era. I think this is expected and creates massive growth opportunities, but it is not always fun to deal with.
